Purpose
YourRealYou is designed for self-awareness, personal development and better conversations. Its reports offer hypotheses, practical prompts and small experiments. You decide what fits, what does not and what action is useful.
What it does not measure
The assessment does not measure intelligence, ability, morality, mental health or clinical conditions. It does not determine what someone is capable of and should not be used by itself for recruitment, promotion, redundancy, diagnosis, safeguarding or another high-stakes decision.
Its basis
The language is based on the four broad behavioural tendencies commonly called Dominance, Influence, Steadiness and Conscientiousness. The framework traces back to William Moulton Marston’s 1928 writing. YourRealYou combines the response pattern into one of 16 reader-friendly profiles.
Current evidence status
An independent registered psychologist used their professional qualifications and experience in the field to audit and review the integrity, rigour and approach behind YourRealYou. They endorsed its practical application and ease of use. They received a fixed fee for their time, agreed and paid before the review began and not dependent on the conclusions they reached. This professional opinion is not a substitute for independent validation.
How to use a result well
- Treat each observation as a possibility to test against specific situations.
- Keep the useful strength while noticing when the same response creates a cost.
- Ask trusted people what they recognise without asking them to label or judge you.
- Try one small behavioural experiment and review its actual effect.
- Use qualified professional advice where the decision requires clinical, legal, employment or other specialist judgement.
